What You Can Expect From DiPietra Design

From the moment you contact Di Pietra Design, you can expect to be treated with honesty and respect, one of our knowledgeable staff members will walk you through the decision making process, often the hardest part of any building or renovation project, but rest assured that we will do everything we can to make this as pleasurable as possible, please don’t hesitate to ask questions. During this part of the project you will look at many different samples of the beautiful products that we offer, it can sometimes be overwhelming, we suggest bringing in samples of the other building materials you are using to help narrow down your selection (tile sample, cabinet door, paint chips, backsplash sample, .etc.), you will also be asked to select from our many edge profiles (which can be found here).

Now that you we know what we will be fabricating for you, you will be asked to sign a contract and leave a deposit on the project, at this point a template can then be scheduled. The helpful staff in the scheduling department will set up a convenient date, in most cases they will let you know if your appointment will be morning or afternoon. A more detailed time frame will be given to you the day of the template, as every project we do is custom and some appointments may take longer than others.

We do recommend that temporary and existing countertops be removed for the template to insure accuracy, but is not an absolute, we also ask that appliance that come into contact with the counter top be removed from the room, as well as anything else that may be sitting on top of the cabinets. The sink, faucet, and appliance should be on site for template. If you are in need of a sink we offer a great quality sink and faucet at a very reasonable price, the models can be viewed on the Polaris website here. The templator will go over your project with you in detail at this time, please be sure to point out any details of your new countertop that you would like to see added (arches, radius corners, overhang, etc.). Your space will be measured with a precision laser measuring device, this is done so that your new kitchen will fits the first time, to insure a smooth experience with Di Pietra Design.

Once your custom project has been templated, our team of world class craftsman will start fabricating your project at our facility, with the latest innovations and technologies in the granite and stone world. Your project will be carefully laid out on the slabs you have selected, with our top of line software that allows us to get the best possible seam matching, and to control the vein flow in your kitchen. This will give the impression that your project has come out of one large piece of stone. Once the project has been cut, your custom countertops will be polished and machined by our CNC machinery, this allows the best quality for you.

At this point you will be contacted either by phone and or email to schedule a convenient date and time for your delivery / installation. We make things easy by setting up a 4 hour delivery time window (morning or afternoon) that is convenient for you. On the day of your delivery call, please ensure that there is a clear path for delivery (free of ice, snow, toys, debris, other trades or obstacles, etc.). Also ensure that an adult, 18 years of age or older, is present during delivery / installation, as they will be asked to sign off on the delivered / installed product acceptance. Your project will typically take two weeks start to finish, depending on size and complexity.

Our shipping and delivery / installation options are designed with the customer in mind. We deliver and ship all of our products using the most secure and reliable means available. Our installation team will do everything they can to insure a pleasant experience for you while they are onsite; they use all the most innovative technologies to assure the highest quality of installation. You can expect that we will keep your home as clean as we can including laying down drop clothes for the walking path, and our tools, as well as clean up any mess we create. It should be noted that during the install walls may get scuffed do to the snug fit of the material, every effort is done to prevent this, but some touch ups may be required once we have installed your countertop. Once your countertop has been installed the techs will go over your care and maintenance package and answer any questions you may have. You will be asked to sign that you have inspected the delivered / installed product and that it is in good and acceptable condition. If any damage is found when viewing your product, we will promptly repair or replace the damaged item at our discretion. You must notify the delivery / installation technicians of any damages that you find as soon as the product is delivered / installed.
