About Us

Located beside Hwy 400 in city of Barrie, Furusato Restaurant and Sushi Bar was opened by Anna Kim in August 10, 2002. Anna came to Canada 40 years ago. She was born in Korea, but considers Barrie her hometown. The establishment of Furusato (means hometown in Japanese) on Fairview Road not only fulfilled a lifelong dream, but it is her way of honouring a community she feels so much a part of.
