The Kidney Patients Association Barrie and South Simcoe formed to advocate for kidney patients on our region!Our 5 Core Values are:
Compassion: Providing empathetic support to patients and their families, understanding their struggles, and offering a caring community.
Advocacy: Actively working to improve healthcare policies, access to treatments, and raising awareness about kidney disease.
Empowerment: Providing patients and their families with the tools, resources, and support they need to take control of their health and well-being. This includes fostering self-advocacy, encouraging active participation in treatment decisions, helping with complaints, and promoting a sense of agency and confidence.
Collaboration: Partnering with healthcare providers, researchers, and other organizations to enhance patient care and advance kidney disease research.
