Crowns

Crowns are used as a cap that fully encloses the entire outer surface of the tooth.  In contrast to fillings, which cover or fill in only a portion of a tooth, a crown cups over the entire visible portion of a tooth.  Crowns can be made of ceramic materials such as porcelain, metals, or a combination of both.
