Implants

To replace a missing tooth, an implant can be surgically affixed to the jaw bone.  This allows for a porcelain tooth to be attached to the implant post, which is the top part of the implant that rises above the gums.  Implants are an advantage to bridges in that they do not require support from other neighbouring teeth.
