About Us


Melissa is a freelance makeup artist with over 13 years of experience in the industry. 

She trained at Complexions International school and worked at MAC Cosmetics for 8 years.  She then opened her own business as a freelance makeup artist at Make Me Beautiful.  Melissa is also a freelance artist for PIE Media Group/Magazine and works as an on-call Artist for the "K.A Beauty Group".

 Melissa has been the on set makeup artist for a commercial with ADS  Media", and was the key artistic director for several theatrical fashion shows produced by PIE Media.  She works her magic backstage creating dramatic theatrical looks as well as directing a team of talented makeup artists at a variety of high fashion runway shows.  She has worked on numerous of creative editorial photo shoots that have been published in "PIE Magazine" as well as "PIEFACEKIDS Magazine".  Melissa's work can also be seen in the Simcoe Wedding magazine "Wedding Dreams" as well as "Life and Styles Magazine Canada".  She has been the key makeup artist for the Simcoe Contemporary Dancers at the "Mady Center for the Performing Arts",  and has donated her time and passion to create makeup looks for several charity events with Sick Kids Hospital, The Heart and Stroke Foundation,  Canadian Cancer Society and The M.A.C AIDS Foundation.  As a member of "The Krystie Ann Beauty Group" Melissa worked at an Absolut Vodka exclusive event creating high fashion looks on models.  She was the assistant makeup artist on a makeover show for OMNI 2 Television, and had the privilege of being the assistant makeup artist on a short film called "Nigel's Fingerprints"  for the Toronto Film Festival.  She helped create looks with a team of artists for a Lingerie Runway Show held in downtown Toronto, and has worked on corporate advertising photo shoots with Trillium Hospital.  

Melissa loves the opportunity to be creative in Editorial and Commercial work, glamming up wedding parties or people for special events and teaching people one on one or small groups how to apply makeup and what products to use
