Paul Sadlon Motors

I bought my second car from Steve Smalridge at Paul Sadlon Motors in 1998 on the recommendation of my good friend Rob Calvert. It was a used 1989 Mercury Topaz that had been through a pretty crazy hailstorm in Alberta. The car looked like hell, with literally thousands of tiny dents all over it, but it was 5-speed, front-wheel-drive with nice snow tires on it, and basically the perfect winter beater. I paid $900 for it, uncertified, expecting to have to do some work on it as it had more than 240,000 kms on the odometer. However, when the service department at Sadlon inspected it, the only thing the car needed to pass the safety was a $5 windshield wiper blade. It turned out to be the most reliable and inexpensive vehicle I've ever owned, not to mention the most fun to drive because I wasn't worried about something happening to it. In the 3 years I owned it, I didn't do anything other than change the oil. I think it even outlasted the car it was doing winter duty for, and I ended up selling it to a family friend. Anyway, the point is that PS has some great used cars, Steve was a joy to do business with, and even though I only spent $1,000 with them, the service department and the rest of the staff were awesome deal with. Since then, I've had many more interactions with Paul Sadlon and always had a good experience.
