We know that hiring a plumber can be a big deal and you might have a few questions. Here are a few of the most common questions and their answers.
Is the plumber coming to my home qualified to do the job? Yes! Plumbtech's technicians are fully trained plumbers who have many years of combined experience in the plumbing industry we've been in business since 1986. And, of course, Plumbtech plumbers are licensed with the Ontario College of Trades.
Can I get an estimate before we go ahead with the work? Yes! Plumbtech is happy to estimate what it will cost to fix an immediate problem to help avoid unexpected surprises. Unforeseen problems can arise, however, but our plumbers will notify you before they proceed with a costly fix. If you're planning a renovation or other significant project, we will prepare a detailed written estimate at no cost to you.
I have a plumbing disaster! Can a plumber come right now to fix it? Yes! Plumbtech offers 24-hour Emergency service, 7 days a week.
Will my plumber have to leave and come back with a part? We do everything we can to make sure Plumbtech's trucks are fully stocked with the parts and tools needed to get most jobs completed. If they don't have the part needed, your plumber will return with it as soon as possible.
Will my plumber leave a mess when they leave? No! Our plumbers know you take pride in your home. We always clean up any mess that we might have made and, when necessary, will remove shoes so that dirt is not tracked through your home.
Is there a warranty? Yes! All fixtures are warrantied according to the manufacturer's standards and our labour is warrantied as well.
Can Plumbtech provide plumbing drawings for my custom home? Yes! We can prepare plumbing drawings when they are required for permit submission, though most jurisdictions accept that we're professional plumbers and will install rough-in properly without them having to review our plans.
By reviewing your drawings while we're preparing a quote for new construction, we are able to see potential problems a laundry box or tub/shower controls on an exterior wall, for example, that will require that wall to be built out to protect against freezing. Better a small layout change in the early going instead of having to reduce a room size even slightly small changes can dramatically change function.
Can Plumbtech renovate my bathroom or kitchen? Absolutely, yes. We will visit your site to assess what is required and make suggestions that we believe will provide you with a better result and/or reduced cost. We will then prepare a detailed quote for you showing exactly the work we propose, and the costs associated with it. Plumbtech has quite literally done hundreds of renovations, whether the reason is for increased functionality, beauty or improved layout, we have many happy homeowners we have worked with over the years.
