Thanks to the students who have received quality instruction in a fun and creative atmosphere, LaRonde Dance Academy is proud to be the longest running dance academy in Barrie, Ontario. The school is enjoying it's 20th year in business!The school's mission is to promote a passion for dancing in our students and to develop and nuture the dancer that lives inside each of them. We will provide the best quality instruction in a relaxed entertaining environment. Our school will always be a place where every student feels free to confidently express her/his creativity. Engaging teaching methods make it easy for the students to relax, open their hearts to the music and get comfortable on the dance floor. Students learn proper technique and choreography with teachers who make dancing and learning fun!
Along with the school's regular dance season which consists of approximately nine months, it also includes a festive holiday show in Nov./Dec. each year at Georgian College Theatre and the "Grande" year-end recital to showcase what the students have learned that season. The school also holds dance auditions in Aug./Sept. of every year for those students who wish to take a more intense approach to dancing and who would like to join the competition teams. The competition teams usually participate in 3 - 5 competitions per year and these dancers also participate in Variety, Fashion and Charity shows.
