I went to Phil after checking reviews online and a Windows 10 update gone wrong. He literally dropped everything to solve the issue after making an appointment (less than an hour). Due to age of the drive and increasing slowness, a new drive would improve performance. Arranged a good time for Phil to do so and simply ecstatic with the results. My go-to tech from now on.
Brought my MSI laptop down from north York because of the reviews and I heard about the good prices for great service. Couldn't have been happier with the service and how much was charged. Phil took care of my laptop and walked me through each step, told me it was a simple issue with updates and gave me an honest price. I'm sure I'll recommend this place to friends and family, and will bring my own equipment back as well.
What a great expereince. My kid's laptop wouldn't start. Within 5 minutes they new what the problem was and took the time to resolve it right away. Made me feel welcome and I also came out of it learning something new.
exactly 1 year ago, Phil built me a new computer, and it was really fast. Today it is still as fast and reliable, and has a great warranty of 3 years which he stands by. It was a great decision to deal with him for which I have no regrets.
Phil has done an excellent job with the repair on my computer. I have never been so happy with it. It works like a charm. I would highly recommend Phil to anyone.

Phil and the computer solution r us are awesome, the knowledge base, magnitude of experience and competence with real energy in the zone for computers is amazing. Trust, honesty, loyalty and good old fashioned reliability are essential in business and friendships, look no further, and worry no more about performance, guarantees or future projects or requirements. Knowing what is a good and what isn't, or what can be done with it, or even better options for really good solid advice is priceless.
Whether they be large/small expensive/cheap all computers eventually will all begin to slow down and possibly having a stroke. And that's when a call should go to Doc Phil the computer surgeon. In mid-February are Samsung all-in-one computer crashed and had no idea where to have it repaired. Upon calling a few dealers "Computer Solutions R-US" Phil listened to what I had to say, that he did so later the same day the dead computer was left into Doc Phil's hands. The following day, while Phil was working in the shop, during this dreary, stormy with plenty of lighting when suddenly there was the loudest crack of lightning and hear Doc Phil cry out "IT'S ALIVE IT'S ALIVE", Phil has brought another dead computer to life.
Great job on our computer re-build Doc Phil, I would say it runs better than it did new. Phil when I’m in the listening range of a computer conversation I sometimes politely join into the conversation. If it’s a repair issue your name becomes the conversation.

You know, it's rare today to get an opinion from a service, computer or other, and be able to accept that opinion at face value - with no doubts. That's Phil. I've been dealing with Phil for many years and was never left second-guessing cost or opinion. What a pleasure!
Was referred to Phil to have my 10 year old laptop looked at to see if it was worth fixing.Phil was amazing at explaining to me exactly why it was worth repairing.He gave me an estimate and it actually came in at about $100 less because he didn't have to do everything he was anticipating might be wrong with it.He also said that if the work he did does not fix the problem he would give me the amount I paid toward a new computer.His honesty and integrity is greatly appreciated in today's world.I recommend Computer-solutions-r-us to everyone.You won't be disappointed.
One star is not correct. It should be no stars. Phil is a hack and a charlatan. He doesn't know anything about Macs. He's a liar and a cheat and recently cost me over $300 for nothing. I aim to get my money back because he did not and could never fix a Mac properly. Don't take your Mac to him. Stick to certified Apple technicians.

Ever since he opened shop on Anne St., Phil has repaired my computers for amazingly reasonable prices. I have moved about 3 hours from Barrie, but if I need my computer repaired in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to make the trip to Barrie.
This is a "pass it forward" moment for me. I share the same takeaway as all the others that have taken the time to post a review. He gives the honest truth about what he can do for my computer for the most affordable price. I know I will get quality. He answers all my questions, and I know that for the stuff I am bringing my computer for, he will take care of it so i don't have to worry about it.
Over the years I have dealt with several computer outfits in Barrie. I have an older expensive Lenovo laptop which many of the so called top computer companies in Barrie told me could not be upgraded. They told me the same thing about my wife's HP laptop. A friend told me if I wanted an honest opinion to take it to Phil. When I showed him both laptops he said of course they could be upgraded and proceeded to do so quickly and at a very reasonable cost. Needless to say I have only gone to Phil ever since and give his cards to all my family and friends. It is so refreshing in this day and age to meet an honest, upfront and service oriented businessman. Thank you Phil!
I have been to see Phil with computer problems 3 times and 3 times I have walked away happy. If you want honest advice, excellent service, great value and a computer guy you can trust, then go to computer solutions r us and speak with Phil, he will take good care of you and your computer needs. I have taken all 6 of my computers to Phil to be fixed or cleaned for over a year now. I will not take them to anyone else. I find Phil honest and he differently knows what hes talking about. His service is amazing.
