About Us at Our Animal Hospital in Barrie

Simcoe Veterinary Hospital, our animal hospital in Barrie, has been serving the community since we first opened our doors in 1950. We came under our current ownership in 2000 and we are still operating in the same original location where veterinary excellence has been offered since the beginning. We are proud to provide the most exceptional care operating under the very highest standards in the veterinary industry.

Our Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) bring immense value to our practice, contributing their knowledge, compassion, and skill to help us provide quality care to our four-legged patients. All of our RVTs are registered with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians, which promotes further education, higher standards of care, and enhancing the welfare of companion animals everywhere. We could not be happier to have these amazing individuals on our team.

Our animal hospital in Barrie has been accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association since 2007, showing you just how serious we are about providing the most exceptional possible care to our patients and the most compassionate possible care to our clients. No more than 15% of Canada’s animal hospitals currently hold this distinction! We voluntarily have our animal hospital inspected by the American Animal Hospital Association, during which time they examine us on the basis of more than 900 different standards of care, from cleanliness and surgical standards to continued education and technology.
